A powerful marketing tool or a spam pool?
I will try and be as honest as possible considering I’m a happy ViralUrl user myself.
Let’s start with the investment:
How much does ViralUrl cost?
You get access to the free affiliate link cloaking service and can earn viralbar ads (kinda like a traffic exchange service) without charge, and it takes less than a minute to sign up.
But if you want to use the ViralUrl system mailer you need to be a Gold or Platinum member.
Gold membership costs $197.
Is ViralUrl Effective?
Yes, compared to other list-building services, ViralUrl has the best open rate and the most active responses.
However, you have to keep in mind that users receive an average of 30-50 emails/day, which definitely dilutes the effect of any copywriting, no matter how good it is.
In average, my viralurl emails gets open by 6-8% of all 3000 users (that’s 180-240 opens), out of which I get a 20-25% clickthrough, resulting in 40-60 visitors in the end.
Of course, from there it all depends on how good your pages convert – I’d expect anywhere from 12-25% for opt-in websites and 3-6% on sales letters. That’s anywhere from 6-18 leads per email – a total of 60-180 leads per month!
The math doesnt lie – you can play with the numbers as much as you want, there’s very little argument against the power of 3000 people receiving your email. Somebody will buy your stuff or join your list.
How can I improve my results?
I’ve actually seen a really cool post about how to get your viralurl emails open.
It basically says that the more natural your messages look, the better response you’ll get.
You know some people fill their messages with hype, promising the world? Yeah, people dont read that.

Forget about sending out MLM opportunities – most users already have a company to promote or have been burned by MLM in the past. The best way is to offer them valuable training (honestly!) – stuff like Black Belt Recruiting, or a nice social media marketing software.
